PROJECT
Strategy, Identity, Digital, Print, Video

A leading force in the industry, 2U, Inc. uses innovative technology and intimate partnerships to power world-class online higher education. The concept itself is complex—but their website didn’t have to be. In order to simply communicate their capabilities to the world, 2U, Inc. asked us to create a new enterprise website that showcased their true promise, potential, and technological prowess to ultimately develop partnerships with universities and encourage prospective employees to join their team.

My role in all this was to lead the IA, UI, UX, branding, design, and photoshoot efforts needed to create the 100+ page, user-friendly site. By leveraging clear hierarchies, video components, bold infographics, and modern design and photography, my team and I created a look and feel that conveyed it all—their passion, success, products, and services in a natural, more digestible way.

Challenge

Creating a website with over 100 pages is a challenge in and of itself. But for this project, we were also tasked with making sure every page met the WCAG 2.0 AA accessibility standards and told a cohesive, compelling story through both visuals and words to two primary audiences (university stakeholders and potential employees). Easy, right?

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
